SAUDI ARABIA is pouring hundreds of millions of pounds into Islamist groups in the Balkans, some of which spread hatred of the West and recruit fighters for jihad in Afghanistan.According to officials in Macedonia, Islamic fundamentalism threatens to destabilise the Balkans. Strict Wahhabi and Salafi factions funded by Saudi organisations are clashing with traditionally moderate local Muslim communities.
Fundamentalists have financed the construction of scores of mosques and community centres as well as handing some followers up to £225 a month. They are expected not only to grow beards but also to persuade their wives to wear the niqab, or face veil, a custom virtually unknown in the liberal Islamic tradition of the Balkans.

Macedonia is monitoring more than 50 AQ terrorists in its territory and there are also several Islamic charities under scrutiny:
One of the groups under scrutiny is the International Islamic Relief Organisation from Saudi Arabia, which is on a United Nations blacklist of organisations backing terrorism. It did not respond to inquiries, but has previously denied involvement in terrorist activities, calling such claims “totally unfoundedâ€.
Again and again. But then Islamic states complain about “the targetting of Muslims in some parts of the world“, passing a new resolution against the “defamation of religions” through the UNHRC.

They have been doing this for twenty years now. The phenomenon is known as “State Capture”, whereby organized crime takes over a nation.
Pakistan trains the jihadis in camps along the border, under supervision of their intelligence services, the ISI. Saudi Arabia supplies the ideology and the money. Yet these nations are our allies in the fight against Islamic extremism.
Meanwhile, the holy warriors are terrorists in Afghanistan, but they are oppressed people when the same guys turn up in Chechnya taking fire from Russian forces. The same guys are our clients when they show up in the Balkans — Clinton and McCain helped arm them, and Bush recognized their independence in Kosovo.

On one level we are maneuvering against Russia, trying to get control of the petroleum reserves of the Caspian Basin. On another level, we are subverting Russia with Afghan heroin – just like in the 80′s during the jihad.
Below that, though, only about 10% of the heroin money (maybe less) finds its way back to the producers in Afghanistan. Some of the rest is used to pay off American officials, so the heroin trade can grow there. Afghanistan now produces 90% of the world’s heroin, and it is the best quality heroin to be had.
You follow the string of US bases established in the past few years, and they move along the corridor through which pipelines are planned. This same corridor moves the heroin to Europe (and some beyond, to America). This is our latest crescent of jihadi crisis: the Caucusus, the Balkans.

What I see is the contradictions amid this policy. US is funding in the end the jihad, while claiming it is fighting it, if I have understood it correctly.
I don’t understand that relevant position of Russia. It is a Neo-Soviet Mob-governed country with a very bad economy and even worse demography. It would seem they want to continue fighting the Cold War, even after it ended.
They are not even considering China, while the latter is much more dangerous, not only because their military is more modern that Russia’s but specially because they own nearly a third of the US funds and relevant portions of other countries’ funds.
China makes its people work for a living. In the US, we give them a government check (written on money borrowed from China) so they don’t have to work. The Obamanistas, Clintonites, and, suprisingly, Bush’s Banana Republicans have done this to buy people’s votes.
Mob government – that is the direction we are moving in. Too many officials in Washington are too corrupt.
